D.E. Shaw India has appointed Piyush Raghuvanshi as Head of Talent Acquisition for its Tech and Quant Businesses.
In this role, Raghuvanshi will spearhead all lateral, strategic, and leadership hiring for the firm’s India operations, and will also drive the integration of generative AI into the company’s talent acquisition workflows. He will report directly to Chaitanya Gorrepati, Managing Director and OpCo Member, and will lead a team of approximately 30 talent acquisition professionals. The team supports a workforce of 2,500 employees spread across three offices in India.
Raghuvanshi joins from apna, where he served as Chief Human Resources Officer and played a key role in scaling operations across the company’s Job Marketplace, EdTech, and AI Labs business lines. Prior to apna, he was Head of Human Resources at Zupee — joining as the company’s founding HR leader and overseeing a 20x increase in business valuation and a 40x surge in annual recurring revenue during his tenure. Before Zupee, he led Talent Acquisition for OYO’s APAC operations, focused on large-scale hiring and digital transformation of recruitment processes. Earlier in his career, he held senior talent acquisition roles at Syngenta, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, and Wipro.
Raghuvanshi holds an MBA in Human Resources from ICFAI University Dehradun.
