Hamsaz Vasunia Wadhwani has joined Vastu Housing Finance Corporation Ltd. as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), where she will lead the Mumbai-based lender’s end-to-end human resources function. Her remit spans business HR, talent management, recruitment, training, performance and rewards, employee engagement and organisational culture.
The mandate places people strategy at the centre of Vastu’s next phase, as the digital-first affordable housing finance company continues to expand its lending operations into underserved and emerging market segments across India.
Wadhwani’s career spans more than two decades across human resources leadership, executive search and employee development. Immediately before joining Vastu, she served as Chief Executive at The 7th Fold for over six years, working with individuals, teams and organisations on culture, performance, employee happiness and HR capability, and providing shared CHRO services to startups and small and mid-sized companies.
Prior to The 7th Fold, Wadhwani spent over 10 years at DCB Bank as Head of HR and Training, where she led learning and talent interventions for the private sector lender. Before DCB Bank, she worked at EmmayHR Services as Associate Director for over five years. She was also associated with WNS Global Services, where she worked as a Team Leader for nearly four years.
