Sterlite Technologies has appointed Anshu Mordia as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
In her new role, Mordia will lead Sterlite Technologies’ global human resources function and is expected to focus on scaling the company’s people strategy, leadership readiness, and culture build as the optical networking and digital infrastructure firm enters its next growth phase.
The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors at its meeting on April 29, 2026, and disclosed to the stock exchanges under SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements. Mordia will be part of STL’s senior management team, with her mandate covering organisational transformation, workforce planning, and leadership development across the company’s operations in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, China and Brazil. Her appointment came alongside the Board’s reappointment of Ankit Agarwal as Managing Director for a five-year term beginning October 8, 2026, subject to shareholder approval.
Mordia joins from FCM Travel India, where she was Director of People and Culture. Before that, she headed HR for the logistics business at DP World as Head HR for the regional office in the Indian Subcontinent. From early 2018 to late 2021, she spent close to four years at Maersk Tankers as Head of HR for India, where she set up HR systems and processes, ran leadership development programmes and built out the performance management framework.
Earlier, Mordia worked with FedEx Express as an HR Advisor on strategic transformation projects across the MEISA region, including the FedEx and TNT integration, organisational restructuring and employee experience initiatives. Mordia began her HR career at Aon Hewitt as a consultant in talent and organisational consulting, with prior exposure at Mahindra & Mahindra in learning and organisation development roles.
