What the company said
Amish Banker, Chief Distribution Officer at ICICI Life Insurance, said the company launched Narishakti to give women advisors the training and support they need to build careers in insurance. He said women advisors had developed a strong understanding of customer needs and contributed significantly to the agency business.
According to Banker, the initiative aims to equip women advisors with the skills and support needed “to expand their role in the insurance sector and contribute to the government’s vision of insurance for all by 2047.”
Wider agency hiring
The 20,000 target sits within a larger agency build-out. ICICI Life recruited more than 36,000 advisors and added over 80 partnerships in the first half of FY27, according to its results announced on October 13, 2026.
