Wakefit Innovations has appointed Suman Yadav as its Chief Human Resources Officer, effective 1 October 2026. The appointment was disclosed to the stock exchanges.
Yadav joins the Bengaluru-based home and sleep solutions company after nearly 13 years as Director, HR at Amazon. Most recently, she ran her own advisory practice.
Her appointment follows a change in Wakefit’s HR leadership. The company informed the exchanges that Umanath Nayak had resigned as Head, Human Resource and Senior Management Personnel, effective close of business on 30 September 2026.
From the Army to Amazon
Yadav started her career in the Indian Army, where she served for more than five years and held the rank of Captain. Her work there covered logistics, resource planning and personnel operations in border postings.
She then completed an executive programme in business management at IIM Bangalore and moved into corporate HR.
