Saatvik Solar has appointed Arindam Chakraborty as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
In his new role, Chakraborty will lead people strategy, talent development, and organisational transformation at Saatvik Solar as the solar photovoltaic manufacturer scales its domestic operations and broadens its presence across India’s renewable energy value chain.
Chakraborty joins Saatvik Solar from Vikram Solar, where he most recently served as senior vice president and head of global HR. During that tenure, he led organisation-wide structural transformation, workforce planning for capacity expansion, succession planning, and the rollout of the company’s ESOP programme as part of its IPO preparations. He joined Vikram Solar in January 2024 and stepped down in March 2026, citing personal priorities.
Earlier, Chakraborty served as CHRO and group head of HR at Vikram Solar between 2021 and 2023, where he was responsible for people strategy, corporate communications, CSR, and workplace digitisation. In the interim before returning to the company in 2024, Chakraborty was vice president of HR and head of organisation development and learning at Ashok Leyland.
Chakraborty has also held leadership roles at Royal Enfield, where he led HR for the global commercial organisation before moving to head customer experience, driving capability-building initiatives across the company’s dealer network. His earlier assignments include CHRO at Aviotech, head of corporate HR at Britannia Industries, assistant vice president of HR at Genpact, lead capability development manager at Coca-Cola India, and HR roles at Mitsubishi Chemicals PTA India and Shaw Wallace Ceylon.
A postgraduate in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi, Chakraborty also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. He brings more than 25 years of HR experience across manufacturing, automotive, renewable energy, and consumer goods.
