Svarn Group has appointed Deepak Kumar Sharma as its new Vice President – Human Resources (Experience).
The company welcomed Sharma’s appointment, stating: “As Vice President – Human Resources at Svarn, he brings deep expertise in workforce planning, HR transformation, leadership hiring and building a performance-driven culture. Having worked across environments with over 8,500 employees and multiple plants, his approach blends strategic vision with on-ground execution, optimising productivity, strengthening engagement and enabling scalable growth.”

Prior to Sharma joining Svarn Group, he served as Corporate HR Head (DGM) at VEEGEE Automotive, where he led HR operations for the automotive manufacturer. Before VEEGEE, he spent a significant tenure at Victora Auto in progressive leadership roles, including AGM and Senior Manager – HR, managing HR operations across 22 manufacturing plants and a workforce of over 8,500 employees.
At Victora Auto, he led the implementation of the ZING HRMS platform for real-time HR analytics, introduced a performance management system credited with improving productivity by 20 per cent, and reduced employee attrition by 12 per cent through structured retention initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Sharma worked with JBM Group, Sanden Vikas India, and Elofic Industries Ltd in HR roles across the manufacturing and auto components sectors. He began his career with Yokohama India, laying the foundation in industrial HR and plant-level workforce management.
Sharma holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from DDU Connect. He brings nearly 20 years of experience across HR operations, compliance, workforce planning, and employee engagement, with the bulk of his work concentrated in India’s manufacturing and automotive industries.
