Maninder Kapoor Puri has joined Syngene International as Chief Human Resources Officer, stepping into the role after nearly three years as Head of Human Resources at Biocon.
In a LinkedIn post confirming the transition, Puri described her time at Biocon as “deeply meaningful” and outlined her focus at Syngene on building a culture rooted in scientific purpose and one embedded, in her words, “in the pipelines, the research, and the people who dedicate their careers to discovery.”
At Syngene, her mandate spans talent strategy, organisational design, leadership development, and employee engagement for a contract research and manufacturing services company with a growing global footprint.
Most recently, Puri served as Head of Human Resources at Biocon from June 2023.
Prior to that, Puri was Global Chief Human Resources and Diversity Officer at Mastek from August 2017 to July 2023 — a six-year tenure during which she was recognised as CHRO of the Year 2022. Before Mastek, she held multiple leadership roles at Firstsource, including Executive Vice President — People Supply Chain, from March 2009 to July 2017. Earlier in her career, she served as Vice President at ICICI OneSource and General Manager at Accenture.
Puri holds a Master’s in English Literature and has completed the CHRO Programme at Wharton Business School. She carries more than three decades of experience across HR leadership, organisational transformation, and large-scale talent strategy.
