Birlasoft has appointed Arun Rao as Chief Human Resources Officer, effective April 1, 2026, following the resignation of Priti Kataria. The transition was approved at the company’s board meeting held on March 30, 2026.
Rao will take on responsibility for Birlasoft’s people agenda at a time when the mid-tier IT services firm continues to scale its enterprise digital and cloud offerings.
A familiar face within the CKA Birla Group, Rao has been associated with it since 2020. Most recently, he served as Group Head – Leadership Development. Rao also brings prior institutional familiarity with Birlasoft, specifically, having served an earlier stint as Chief People Officer at the company.
This background positions Rao as a leader with both transformation experience and organisational context. He carries over three decades of experience across talent management, organisational transformation, and leadership capability building.
Previously, Rao has worked for companies like DXC Technology, CSC, Computer Sciences Corporation, Deloitte Consulting India, and Applabs. He was also associated with Intelligroup Asia, Satyam Computers, Mascon Global, and Steel Authority of India.
