Biocon has appointed Naveen Narayanan as its Chief Human Resources Officer, effective April 1, 2026. He moves into the role from Biocon Biologics, the company’s subsidiary, where he served as Global Head of HR.
In his new role, Narayanan will lead Biocon’s global people strategy, focusing on talent development, organisational transformation, and the creation of a high-performance culture aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
Narayanan brings over three decades of HR leadership experience across hospitality, retail, technology, and life sciences. He began his career in 1993 as a Trainee Development Executive at ITC Hotels, before moving to Oberoi Hotels & Resorts as Training Manager and Industrial Relations.
In 1998, Narayanan relocated to Muscat as CHRO of Oman United Agencies, followed by a two-year stint in Dubai as CHRO at Al-Futtaim, where he is credited with turning around a loss-making retail unit through a human capital refresh programme. He subsequently held roles at Publicis Sapient as VP – Talent and Planning for India and APAC, and at KPISOFT as Managing Director – Human Capital Consulting, Solutions and Transformation. Narayanan is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
