Ramoji Film City has appointed Nita Baluni as Vice President, Human Resources.
In her new role at Ramoji Film City, Baluni will be responsible for the HR function across the organisation’s hospitality and entertainment divisions, with a focus on talent management, growth, and people-centric initiatives.
Before she joined Ramoji Film City, Baluni was with Sterling Holiday Resorts. She joined the company in May 2023 as Vice President, Human Resources, based in Chennai, a role she held for over two years.
An alumna of XLRI Jamshedpur and a certified POSH trainer, Baluni began her career at Hyatt Regency as Assistant Personnel Manager, a role she held for approximately eight years. In March 1999, she moved to Intercontinental Eros (Parkroyal) as Human Resources Manager, followed by a similar role at Radisson, Noida, for over a year.
Between June 2004 and September 2006, Baluni was a part-owner of Overture People’s Catalyst, an independent HR consultancy. In September 2006, Avis India (The Oberoi Group) brought her on board as AVP – Human Resources, a role she held for nearly four years.
Baluni then joined InterContinental Hotels Group in June 2010 as Area Director of Human Resources, overseeing 12 hotels across North, West, and South West Asia for over eight years. Her next stint was with The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group as General Manager – Corporate HR, after which she freelanced as an HR Business Consultant for a year and a half.
