S&P Global has promoted Bhavna Batra to Head of People for the India region, expanding her leadership role within the organisation. She has been associated with the company since 2021, when she joined as Vice President of People.
In her new position, Batra will be responsible for driving the company’s people strategy in India, with a focus on talent development, succession planning, and strengthening employee experience initiatives across the region.
Before joining S&P Global, Batra held several senior leadership roles across consulting and HR functions. She worked at Genpact as VP of Human Resources, where she led the organisation and staffing Centre of Excellence globally and served as the HR leader for the finance function, according to HRKatha.
Earlier in her career, she spent over three years with PwC India as Managing Director in the Management Consulting practice, contributing to the firm’s People and Organisation Consulting leadership team. Her professional journey also includes roles at SHL, where she managed business operations across multiple regions in India, and at Right Management as a project leader.
An MBA in Human Resource Management from Management Development Institute, Batra, brings extensive experience in HR strategy, organisational transformation, and talent leadership.
With her elevation, she is expected to continue shaping S&P Global’s workforce strategy while supporting the company’s growth and culture initiatives in the India region.
