ZOOM Communications has appointed Seema Bangia as Chief People Officer (CPO), bringing on board an HR leader with more than 30 years of experience across aerospace and defence, manufacturing, FMCG, telecom, consumer, and consulting.
In her new role, Bangia will lead the company’s people strategy, with a focus on leadership hiring and development, organisational effectiveness, performance management, ethics, and governance, while aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
Bangia joins ZOOM Communications from Leading Edge-People Consulting, where she worked as an HR Business Leader, Leadership Coach, and Organisation-Development Advisor for over a year, from February 2025 to June 2026. Before that, she spent nearly 12 years with the Mahindra Group, from June 2012 to April 2024, rising to Vice President and Chief People Officer and Board Director at Mahindra Aerospace & Defence in 2021, after nine years as Head of HR there. During this stretch, she drove employee engagement, leadership development, succession planning, and DEI initiatives across the group’s regulated aerospace and defence businesses.
Her earlier career includes stints as Head-HR at Carlsberg India, General Manager-HR at ZTE Telecom, Senior Manager-HR at Canon India, and Manager-Employee Development and Training at Sony India, along with assignments at AT&T/Lucent Technologies and Motorola. She began her career as a management trainee at Nestlé.
