Prashant Patankar has been named Head of Human Resources at JioBlackRock Investment Advisers, marking a leadership transition as the joint venture strengthens its organisational and talent strategy in India’s evolving asset management space.
In his new role, Patankar is expected to focus on building organisational capability and shaping workplace culture as JioBlackRock scales its operations. He has expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with a young and diverse workforce while strengthening talent acquisition and fostering an engaging, high-performance environment within the organisation.
Patankar joins JioBlackRock after serving as HR lead at Colgate-Palmolive, where he was responsible for driving the people strategy for the company’s Global Capability Centre and Global Business Services operations since 2019. In that role, he oversaw strategic HR direction, governance frameworks, and day-to-day people operations.
His longest professional stint was with Standard Chartered Bank, where he spent more than 11 years in multiple HR leadership roles. During this period, he worked across business partnering, integration, and governance functions, eventually rising to senior HR leadership positions supporting retail banking, technology, and wealth management businesses.
He also led the HR function for Standard Chartered Securities India, overseeing people initiatives across multiple locations and a workforce of more than 600 employees.
