Arvind Fashions Limited has appointed Lakshmi Krishnan as its Chief Human Resources Officer, effective 25 May 2026.In her new role, Krishnan will lead the company’s people strategy, with a mandate covering talent management, leadership development, organisational capability building and culture transformation across AFL’s expanding retail and digital footprint.
Krishnan brings more than 25 years of global HR leadership experience across India, Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom, spanning the consumer goods, financial services and technology sectors. She joins from Unilever, where she most recently served as Head of HR, Corporate Functions at the company’s global headquarters in London partnering with the Global CFO and Chief Legal Officer on organisation-wide transformation across a workforce of more than 7,000 employees. Before that, she led HR for Unilever’s Global Procurement business in Singapore, a €31 billion operation spanning more than 1,500 employees and 60,000 suppliers worldwide. She has also held the role of Global HR Director for Unilever’s Asia Supply Chain, overseeing people strategy across 15 factories and nearly 10,000 employees across APAC markets.

Krishnan is a gold medallist in Master of Social Work in Human Resources from the University of Madras. She is currently completing the CHRO Programme at Wharton Executive Education.
