Fashion e-commerce platform Myntra has created more than 26,000 seasonal employment opportunities ahead of its Big Fashion Festival in October, more than doubling its seasonal workforce from the previous year.
Of the total seasonal positions, over 350 roles have been reserved for persons with disabilities, and women will account for 30% of the fulfilment centre workforce, according to a company statement issued on 24 September 2026. The Flipkart-owned platform said this makes the current drive its most inclusive seasonal hiring exercise so far.
The roles span supply chain operations such as sorting, grading and packing, with 8,000 delivery partners and 2,700 customer service positions rounding out the seasonal team. The workforce has been recruited from states including Odisha, Karnataka, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand, and will operate across five fulfilment centres in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bilaspur and Binola.
“The festive season brings together thousands of people who work behind the scenes to create the experience that customers see and enjoy. As we scale our seasonal workforce this year, in addition to creating employment and income opportunities, we remain committed to ensuring our people feel supported, recognised, and truly part of the celebration,” said Govindraj MK, Chief Human Resources Officer, Myntra.
Myntra said the expanded workforce will strengthen its capacity for express services such as M-Express, which enables 24- to 48-hour deliveries in eligible locations. The company has also lined up daily performance-based SPOT Rewards and Recognition, along with team challenges, to support the workforce through the high-intensity festive period.
The scale-up sits inside a broader festive-hiring surge. According to an NLB Services report cited by Business Standard, India is likely to create 200,000 to 250,000 seasonal and gig jobs during the July to December 2026 period, with festive hiring expected to grow 15% to 20% year on year.
