GoKwik’s earliest employee stock option (ESOP) holders are expected to receive about 9x returns on their original grants, according to public LinkedIn posts by employees and co-founder Vivek Bajpai, as the Gurugram-based e-commerce enablement company nears a liquidity event for its first batch of employees.
“Today, some of our earliest ESOP holders are expected to see ~9x returns on their original grants. If you care about building for commerce in India, this is truly a great place to do it,” Ankit Khurana, an engineering leader at GoKwik, wrote in a LinkedIn post. Similar language has been echoed by other GoKwik leaders on the platform.
The 9x figure refers to the gap between the strike price at which the first cohort of employees was granted options and the fair market value derived from recent secondary transactions. GoKwik has not yet filed a formal company announcement or regulatory disclosure quantifying the total value of the planned liquidity event.
GoKwik’s ESOP pool stood at 9.37% of total equity as of August 2025, with a notional net worth of about Rs 373 crore based on the latest cap table. Taneja, Co-founder and CEO, had earlier said GoKwik has a runway of 60 to 70 months with about USD 35 million to USD 37 million in the bank, is targeting profitability within 18 months and is looking at a public listing within three to five years. Annual recurring revenue stood at over USD 30 million as of March 2025.
