Schindler India, the Indian arm of elevator and escalator giant Schindler, has appointed Gurpreet Singh as the India Head of Performance, Reward and HR Digitization.

Singh is an expert in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and HR shared services. He has also developed and implemented “advanced systems and techniques aimed at automating and digitalizing HR processes, leading to improving efficiency and saving time and cost.”
Prior to joining Schindler India, Singh was the Deputy General Manager of HR Strategic Support Group for IBO, having obtained the position in May 2024. He was also with Sterlite Technologies Limited (STI) for over 13 years after joining the company in May 2010 as Deputy Manager of Human Resources. He went on to become an HR Manager, remaining in the position until August 2015.
Singh left STI in August 2015 but rejoined the company in June 2016 as a Talent Acquisition Lead. In November 2021, he was also appointed Corporate HR Business Partner and Head of Shared Services.

An alumnus of Savitribai Phule Pune University, Singh has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration. In the past, he has also worked for companies Landmark Group’s MAX Retail Division and JSW Steel.
