Genpact has initiated an independent internal review after employees at its Hafeezpet office in Hyderabad raised allegations of gender discrimination, excessive working hours, harassment and retaliation against those who complained about workplace conditions.
The allegations surfaced after Rohit Kotana, a senior procurement analyst at Genpact according to his LinkedIn profile, shared posts dating back to 17 September 2026 and an 8 October video recording of a meeting in which several employees raised complaints with the company’s employee relations representative. The named manager in the complaints is Xavier Francis.
The specific complaints as laid out in Kotana’s LinkedIn posts include a report of chest pain on 20 July that allegedly resulted in a panic attack and hyperventilation after permission to leave was denied, pressure to work 14 or more hours and on Saturdays, and women being stopped for updates around 3 AM, including some whose cabs were waiting.
“Gender-related concerns included monitoring women’s bio-breaks, comments about women’s health, attendance pressure and concerns regarding the treatment of a pregnant employee in a previous team,” Kotana wrote.
He also described an incident in which a female employee who was menstruating photographed a stain on a cafeteria chair in case she was questioned on being late.
“When an employee feels she needs photographic proof of menstrual bleeding just to be believed about being late, what kind of work environment are we creating?” Kotana added in his LinkedIn post.
Employees reportedly escalated the concerns to senior leadership as early as July and later submitted written complaints to the Employee Relations team led by Nigel Franklin, with a formal complaint against Xavier Francis filed on 19 September 2026, according to the LinkedIn posts.
