Delhivery has launched Abhayam, a welfare programme for its frontline workforce, introduced on 22 June 2026 to mark the logistics company’s 15th anniversary. The initiative will cover nearly one lakh frontline employees, including delivery and operations personnel, under a single framework spanning financial protection, healthcare, family benefits and career development.

Under the programme, employees will receive accident insurance cover of up to 15 lakh rupees and health insurance benefits of up to 5 lakh rupees. Abhayam also includes income support during hospitalisation and access to discounted medicines.

The benefits extend beyond the employee. Health insurance coverage will reach spouses and up to two children, and the company is adding scholarships for employees’ children, vocational training for spouses and daughters, and easier access to personal loans. On the financial-security side, the programme offers access to the National Pension System, assistance for higher education and early earned-wage access to help workers manage short-term needs.

“In 15 years, our frontline workers have helped deliver nearly 5 billion shipments. Abhayam is our attempt to deliver for them. We believe this programme is the best in class in India and ensures that our workers provide the best possible service while their health and family are taken care of,” said Suraj Saharan, executive director and chief HR officer, Delhivery.

The company said the programme was designed in recognition of the financial vulnerabilities frontline workers often face, particularly when a medical emergency disrupts income. By bundling insurance, healthcare, education and financial support, Delhivery is aiming to build a stronger safety net for these workers and their families.
