Electric two and three-wheeler maker Zelio E-Mobility has announced a major hiring drive that will take its workforce beyond 500 this financial year, up from around 260 at present. The push is spread across the company’s manufacturing facilities in Hisar, Bhubaneswar and Coimbatore.
The expansion will add roughly 250 roles in all: about 100 in Hisar, 50 in Bhubaneswar and 100 in Coimbatore. The Coimbatore plant, Zelio’s newest unit, is expected to account for a significant share of the hiring as it is commissioned and scaled up.
The recruitment will focus on both operational and strategic functions. Zelio is looking to bring on plant heads, R&D professionals, production-planning and quality specialists, and zonal sales leaders. It also plans to grow its service and after-sales teams to keep pace with a widening dealer network and customer base.
“Our expansion is not only focused on manufacturing growth but also on building strong local ecosystems in each region we operate in, ensuring long-term value creation through employment and skill development,” said Divyanshu Agarwal, CEO, Zelio E-Mobility.
The hiring comes on the back of strong financials. Zelio reported consolidated revenue of about 313 crore rupees for FY26, an 81.8% jump over the previous year, with profit after tax of roughly 28 crore rupees. The company, which was listed on the BSE SME platform in October 2025, has stayed profitable since its inception.
Zelio runs a dealer network of more than 400 outlets across more than 25 states and targets more than 550 dealerships by FY27, with a particular focus on South India and the North-East. Whether the company can fill specialised roles such as R&D and plant leadership at the pace of its expansion will shape how smoothly the next phase lands.
