Private equity firm Advent has appointed Rachita Marwaha as Head of Human Resources, Asia Pacific. She joins from Visa, where she led HR for India and South Asia.
Marwaha brings nearly two decades of experience across financial services, payments, banking, automotive, and technology. At Visa, she served as Head of HR for India and South Asia, leading people strategy across the region.
Before Visa, Marwaha was Head of HR for Wholesale and Commercial Banking and CoE Lead for campus recruitment, employer branding, and diversity and inclusion at Axis Bank, where she led the people agenda for more than 4,000 employees across wholesale banking, commercial banking, treasury, and international banking.
Earlier, Marwaha spent nearly five years at Tata Motors as a Talent and Organisation Effectiveness Specialist, working on talent management, performance management, rewards, and HR communications. Before moving into HR, she worked at Tata Communications in product management and marketing, and began her career as a Tata Administrative Services management trainee, taking on assignments across Tata Group companies, including TCS, Indian Hotels Company, Tata Global Beverages, and Tata Chemicals. She holds an MBA in Human Resources from XLRI Jamshedpur.
In her new role, Marwaha will lead talent strategy, leadership development, organisational culture, and workforce effectiveness across Advent’s APAC portfolio operations. Advent said the appointment comes as it continues to support growth and value creation across its portfolio, with talent and culture central to that work.
