Cigna Healthcare has appointed Anisha Vaz as Head of Human Resources for India.
In her new role, Vaz will oversee the company’s India HR strategy, including talent management, organisational development, employee experience and workforce transformation initiatives.
Vaz brings nearly two decades of experience across human resources, business partnering and people operations, with leadership exposure spanning healthcare, technology, engineering, telecommunications and global business environments. She joins Cigna Healthcare after a stint at Optum, where she handled senior HR responsibilities across talent strategy, organisational effectiveness, employee engagement and workforce planning.
Before Optum, Vaz spent over eight years at Walmart Global Tech India, progressing through multiple HR leadership roles, including Senior Manager, People; Manager, People; and Associate Manager, People. During this tenure, she contributed to HR strategy, employee experience, people operations and business-aligned talent initiatives. Earlier in her career, she served as Deputy Manager, HR at Robert Bosch Engineering & Business Solutions, where she partnered with business teams on HR operations, talent acquisition, retention, performance management and managerial coaching.
The appointment comes as multinational healthcare and insurance companies continue ramping up investments in India-based operations, global capability centres and AI-driven workforce systems.
