Loom Solar shared that its ‘Learn Solar’ initiative has engaged over 50,000 participants across more than 200 sessions in six years, framing the programme as a skilling effort tied to India’s expanding rooftop solar market.

The initiative runs through webinars, workshops, and digital sessions covering solar technology, installation, and small-business opportunities. According to the company, participants include new dealers, small business owners, engineers, students, and existing installers; a mix that positions the programme as an entry point into the renewable energy workforce rather than a customer funnel.

Commenting on the milestone, Amod Anand, Co-Founder and Director, Loom Solar, said, “Learn Solar was never about building a customer base; it was about building a movement. It is deeply encouraging for us to serve the nation by enabling access to solar knowledge and helping individuals become energy self-reliant. When people understand solar, they don’t just adopt it—they build livelihoods around it and drive meaningful change in their communities.”

Participation has been concentrated in North and Central India, with the strongest engagement from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Punjab. The company attributed this to high agricultural activity, dense MSME presence, and rising electricity demand in these states.

The participant numbers and regional figures are based on internal company data and have not been independently verified.
The milestone comes as the PM Surya Ghar Yojana scales up rooftop solar adoption, sharpening demand for trained installers, dealers, and last-mile entrepreneurs.
