Cipla has appointed Arun Kakatkar as Global Chief People Officer and Senior Management Personnel, effective March 17, 2026.
The company shared in a regulatory filing that Kakatkar has been appointed to a full-time position as part of Cipla’s senior management team. He will be responsible for leading the company’s global people strategy, organisational development, leadership capability, and culture initiatives across regions.
Kakatkar is a seasoned HR business leader with extensive experience across multiple business functions, industries and geographies. He has led diverse teams across global environments and delivered transformational outcomes.
Before Cipla, Kakatkar was a part of Microsoft Corporation as an HR Leader. He has also worked with Kalyani Group, TE Connectivity India, Flextronics, Ingersoll Rand, Foseco and Black & Decker.
Kakatkar has an MBA in Operations Management and Human Resources and a Bachelor’s degree in Production Engineering from Savitribhai Phule Pune University.
