Ashok Leyland has appointed Jasmeet Bhatia as President & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
Bhatia will replace Raja Radhakrishnan, who will move on to oversee special projects for Ashok Leyland and the Hinduja Group, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Prior to joining Ashok Leyland, Bhatia was associated with Thermax. He joined the company in November 2020 and served as CHRO for over five years until January 2026.
“As I prepare to embark on a new professional chapter, my heart is full of gratitude for the years I’ve spent at Thermax Ltd. Working as your CHRO has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career,” Bhatia shared in a farewell post. “We often talk about ‘engineering solutions,’ but my time here has taught me that the real engine of success is the people.”
From March 2016 to November 2020, Bhatia was a part of Carrier Corporation. He joined the company as HR Director – India and became HR Director South Asia Pacific in April 2019. Bhatia was also associated with Valvoline from June 2015 to February 2016 as Vice President of Human Resources.
For over 7 years, Bhatia worked for Honeywell Automation India. He was first appointed as Country HR Manager -UOP in August 2007 and was promoted to HR Leader – Honeywell International in January 2010. This was followed by Bhatia becoming HR Head, Honeywell Turbo, in June 2012 and then getting the role of Director Human Resources in June 2014. In the past, he has also been associated with MaFoi, Mphasis, and CES.
