A recent study found that as India Inc struggles with a slanting recruitment and salary growth graph, 55% of the HR leaders are leaning on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities for talent retention. 

The study titled The Tech Talent Landscape, conducted by upGrad Rekrut, covered 1645 HR leaders and 1618 tech professionals. The report revealed that the AI exposure for the tech roles is projected to rise to 31.8% from 19.9% by next year

Although 57% of the companies plan to hire for AI governance roles, only 15% have governance functions in place. But organisations with efficient career development plans are likely to become 42% of the AI frontrunners. Meanwhile, trust in AI increases by 15% when organisations give transparency about how AI is going to affect the work

An average salary uplift of 20.5% across highly specialised roles. Interestingly, as many as 93.4% of the respondents reported that AI improves complex and repetitive tasks, and 68% associated AI with faster task completion

In addition, about 16% of the companies have redesigned workflow around AI and reported to have gainedthe  highest (67.7%) ROI on AI investments

A very significant finding suggested that about 67% of the women professionals are eager to relocate to smaller cities or get to hybrid roles, compared to only 41% of men.
