Grand Mercure Bengaluru has appointed Peter D’Souza as Associate Director – People & Culture.
Ram Shetty, General Manager, Grand Mercure Bengaluru, Gopalan Mall, said, “We are pleased to welcome Peter back to the hotel. His people-first mindset and strong grasp of hospitality operations will add value to both our teams and the overall functioning of the hotel.”
Indeed, the appointment marks D’Souza’s return to Grand Mercure Bengaluru. He was previously associated with the company from November 2019 to November 2021 as Assistant Talent & Culture Manager.
D’Souza holds over 11 years of experience in the HR hospitality sphere. Prior to his latest appointment, he was a part of ibis Bengaluru City Centre from January 2022 to December 2025 as Talent & Culture Manager. D’Souza was also associated with ibis Bengaluru Hosur Road as Talent & Culture Manager from November 2021 to January 2022.
In January 2019, D’Souza started working for ibis Chennai City Centre as Assistant Talent & Culture Manager, and he held the role until November 2019. He was also associated with ibis Coimbatore City Centre from November 2017 to December 2018 as Assistant Manager Talent & Culture. D’Souza started his hospitality career in July 2014 when he joined ibis Bengaluru City Centre as Talent & Culture Executive.
