Schneider Electric India’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Binu Philip, retires. He announced in a post on LinkedIn.
He wrote, “As I prepare to hang up my boots in a few days, after 36 years of corporate life, I am filled with joy and profound gratitude for the opportunities I’ve had and the wonderful people who have touched my life!”
He joined Schneider in 2015 as the Human Resources Director, and continued to drive people strategies in roles like VP HR Domain Leader M&A, and VP HR Secure Power before being elevated to CHRO.
Previously, he has worked with companies, namely Microsoft, Idea and Harrison’s Malayalam. During his career, he has led people strategies and gained expertise in areas such as talent management, leadership hiring, HR policies, mergers and acquisitions, etc.
“It has been an immense privilege to work with great companies each with diverse and enriching cultures, and to collaborate with very talented people from Japan to South America. I have been fortunate to be part of many major transformations and path-breaking M&As,” he wrote.
Acknowledging Microsoft’s contribution in his career, Philip noted, “My nearly nine years at Microsoft opened the doors to a truly global corporation, with its ambitious mission and best-in-class people practices.”
Further explaining his experience with the telecom industry, Philip stated that it was once in a lifetime experience to witness the exponential growth of telecom that transformed India. “Starting with Harrison’s Malayalam Ltd (RPG Group), India’s 2nd largest Plantation company, was a truly foundational experience for me,” he further explained.
