Maa Kudargarhi Group has appointed Dr Nikhil Rao Shelar as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer at Maa Kudargarhi Group!” Dr Shelar shared on LinkedIn.
In his new role, Dr Shelar will lead group-wide people, culture, and transformation agenda across Metals, Mining, Alumina, and FMCG businesses. He will also be aligning HR strategy with business growth, strengthening leadership pipelines, driving organisational effectiveness, and embedding a performance-driven, inclusive culture across diversified and geographically spread operations.
Prior to joining Maa Kudargarhi Group, Dr Shelar was associated with ABIS Exports India. He worked there as Head – Corporate Human Resource Operations from September 2022 to December 2025. Dr Shelar was briefly also affiliated with ACT INFRAPORT from April 2022 to August 2022 as Head – Corporate Human Resources for India, Dubai & Singapore.
From April 2019 to April 2022, Dr Shelar was a part of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited (GPIL) as Head – Human Resource, Personnel & Administration (HIRA Group). He has also served as Chief Human Capital Officer for India & Bangladesh at AlMansoori Specialized Engineering LLC from May 2018 to April 2019.
For over six years, Dr Shelar was associated with the Adani Group. He joined in December 2011 as a Regional Plant Human Resources and was promoted to Corporate Human Resources in May 2017, a role he held until May 2018. In the past, Dr Shelar has also worked for Magma General Insurance and Essar.
