Wipro has yet to make a decision on employee salary hikes for the financial year 2025-2026, or FY26.
In FY25, Wipro implemented its salary hikes in September 2025. However, with increasing uncertainties in the market due to various geopolitical upheavals, Wipro is not the only company that has decided to wait for salary hikes. Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is yet another IT company that has delayed its salary hikes.
“We haven’t decided on the hikes yet. It is too early. The macro environment, the current demand, supply situation – all of this will play in factors. Closer to the date, we will take a call and communicate,” said Wipro’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Saurabh Govil.
Despite the delay in salary hikes, Wipro did report an 11% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit, which came to ₹3,330 crore for Q1FY26. The company did see a slight increase in attrition. Wipro reported an attrition of 15.1%, in Q1FY26, higher than Q4FY35’s attrition at 15.0%.
“We had given a wage hike last year in September. We haven’t decided what’s the plan now. We will review it closer to the date, based on the macro environment, demand situation, what’s happening and will take a call, so nothing as soon as we get decide, we let everybody know where we stand,” Govil added in an interview with CNBC-TV18.
