Starting on March 1, 2026, Wipro is rolling out salary hikes for all its employees, as per an internal mail, said The Financial Express.
The development is set to provide relief to the company’s employees after Wipro had delayed the hikes in September 2025. However, the percentage of hikes has not yet been specified.
The hikes come after many Indian IT companies delayed hikes in recent years due to a decline in global demand, an uncertain geopolitical landscape, and tightening client budgets.
In the past few months, though, major names like TCS and Infosys revealed their plans to go ahead with hikes. Wipro’s own move makes it one of the last IT firms in India to go ahead with the hikes.
The company provided 100% of quarterly variable pay for the October-December 2025 quarter, which will be paid to employees with their February 2026 salary. In the two quarters before this, Wipro had paid variable pay to over 90% of its employees, banking on this form of compensation as hikes remained uncertain.
