Waterfield Advisors has appointed Swappnna Varun as Director of Human Resources.

An expert in talent acquisition (TA), Varun is well-versed in overseeing special projects that aim to elevate HR operations of a company. She utilises her skills to drive employee engagement, improve HR processes, and manage stakeholder interests, all in a bid to make organisational change easier.
Prior to Waterfield Advisors, Varun was a part of Jio Financial Services. From March 2024 to September 2024, she served as the company’s Head of TA – Special Projects for JioBlackRock. Varun was also with Barclays from October 2021 to February 2024 as Vice President – Head Programmatic (Campus) Recruitment Asia–Pacific (APAC) and TA Lead for BI India.
From January 2020 to September 2021, Varun worked with TechnoServe as Country Head – Human Resources. Before that, she was with Deutsche Bank from January 2014 to January 2020 as Assistant Vice President – Professional and Campus Hiring.
In August 2013, Varun joined the Royal Bank of Scotland Business as HR Business Manager, and retained the role until January 2014. She was also associated with Edelweiss Capital from February 2012 to October 2012 as Manager – Talent Acquisition.
Varun worked for AMSEC (Asian Markets Securities) as Manager – HR and Special Projects from January 2010. In the past, she was also a part of HDFC Securities and Lehman Brothers, as Assistant Manager HR – Talent Acquisition (June 2007 – December 2009) and Talent Acquisition Consultant (March 2006 – May 2007), respectively.
