Wallace Pharmaceuticals Appoints Chinmaya Mohanty as VP and Head – HR

Wallace Pharmaceuticals has appointed Chinmaya Mohanty as Vice President and Head – Human Resources (HR).

“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President & Head – Human Resources at Wallace Pharmaceuticals!” Mohanty shared on LinkedIn.

In his new role, Mohanty will be using his expertise in change management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, and employee relations. He is also well-versed in HR business partnering, HR transformation, performance management, and strategic HR.

Prior to joining Wallace Pharmaceuticals, Mohanty was working for RPG Life Sciences. His association with the company began in October 2014, when he assumed the position of Assistant General Manager – Sales HR. In July 2017, he became Deputy General Manager – Sales HR and Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) and was then appointed as Head – HR and Sales Force Effectiveness in June 2020.

In June 2021, Mohanty left RPG Life Sciences to join Akumentis Healthcare as Associate Vice President and Head of HR. However, in January 2024, he returned to RPG Life Sciences as Head of Business HR, a role he had been active in until his recent appointment at Wallace Pharmaceuticals.

From May 2021 to October 2014, Mohanty worked as Senior Manager – Sales HR for Wockhardt. He was associated with Panacea Biotec from February 2009 to May 2012 as HR Manager – Field Operations – Mumbai. He was also a part of Cadila Pharmaceuticals as a Sales Manager from January 2006 to February 2009.

In the past, Mohanty has also worked for Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories and Torrent Pharmaceuticals as an Area Business Manager and Medical Representative, respectively. He also holds an executive PG diploma in Human Resources Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
