Wagh Bakri Tea Group has appointed Swayampriya Shah as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
In her new role, Shah will lead the company’s people strategy, talent development initiatives and organisational transformation agenda aimed at enhancing workforce capabilities and supporting business expansion.
Shah joins the company after spending more than seven years at Bira 91, where she held multiple senior HR leadership roles, most recently serving as Senior Vice President – HR and Administration, according to HRKatha.
During her tenure, she played a key role in shaping talent strategy, leadership development programmes and HR operations in a fast-growing consumer business environment.
Earlier in her career, she held HR leadership positions at organisations including Cohne & Wolfe Six Degrees PR and CMGRP India, where she led talent and HR functions for Weber Shandwick in India.
She has also worked with Beam Suntory and Text100 (now Archetype), building experience across employer branding, organisational development and strategic HR management.
Her appointment reflects Wagh Bakri Tea Group’s continued focus on strengthening its people and culture framework as it scales operations and prepares for the next phase of organisational growth.
