Veeam Software has appointed Sandhya Vinay as Director Human Resources (HR), India and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
In her new role, Vinay will focus on building out India as a strategic engineering and sales hub for Veeam. She will oversee India people strategy, organisation culture and engagement. Her key skills include strategic HR, cross-functional team leadership, problem-solving, business process improvement and change management.
Before Veeam Software, Vinay was associated with ABB for seventeen years. She started working at the ABB Corporate Research Center in 2006. In 2007, she took up the role of HR Business Partner, ABB Corporate Research at ABB, and held the position until 2011.
In 2011, Vinay became the Country Talent Management Manager for ABB India, handling talent management functions across the country. She also became Corporate HR Manager, ABB India, in 2012, holding the position simultaneously until 2018.
Vinay took up the position of Global Engineering FCA Program Lead in September 2015 and retained it until February 2017. In March 2017, she was appointed as Global HR Transformation Manager, ABB Robotics and Motion business division, working in that position until November 2019.
From December 2019 to November 2023, Vinay was a part of ABB as Global Talent Management, Diversity & Inclusion, ABB Robotics & Discrete Automation business.
