Uplers has appointed Dr Deepa Mishra as Director, People and Culture.
“I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Director, People and Culture at Uplers!” Dr Mishra shared on LinkedIn. At the same time, Dr Mishra is also serving as Director, People and Culture for Mavlers, a parent company of Uplers.
For over seven years, Dr Mishra was affiliated with Welspun World. She started at the company in October 2018 as Group Manager – Learning Culture and Employer Branding. In July 2021, Dr Mishra was promoted to Group Senior Manager – CoE Learning Culture and Employer Branding. This was followed by her becoming Group Assistant General Manager (AGM) – CoE Talent Culture and Employer Branding in July 2022.
In October 2018, Dr Mishra was also given the role of Head of Excellence Centre by Welspun World. She held this position until November 2025. Additionally, Dr Mishra served as Group Deputy General Manager (DGM) – CoE Talent Culture and Employer Branding from July 2023 to November 2025 at the company.
From December 2016 to October 2018, Dr Mishra worked as Human Resources Business Partner (Project) for J M Baxi Group. She was also associated with Vopak from June 2015 to December 2016 as Terminal HR Head. Dr Mishra joined Tolani Motwane Institute of Management Studies as an Assistant Professor in June 2009 and held the role until May 2015.
Dr Mishra has also worked for Genus Electrotech, serving as a Human Resources Business Partner from January 2006 to May 2009. Her past associations also include Population Services International and Gujarat State AIDS Control Society.
