Tessell has appointed Poojitha Balachandran as Head of HR & People Operations.
With over 14 years of experience in HR, Balachandran is passionate about building people-first cultures that enable individual excellence and organisational success. In her new role, she will help enhance the company’s employee experience, foster inclusive growth, and shape strategies to help teams scale in alignment with the company’s rapid expansion and global ambitions.
Prior to joining Tessell, Balachandran had been affiliated with Darwinbox for over 5 years. She joined the company in March 2020 as HR Digitalization & Transformation Leader and then became HR Transformation & Customer Success Leader in January 2022.
In January 2023, Balachandran was appointed as a specialist for Scaling Partnerships & Strategic Alliances. She was also given the role of HR Transformation & Customer Success Leader (North Americas Region) in June 2024.
From April 2019 to March 2020, Balachandra was a part of Capillary Technologies as Associate Director – People Practice. She was also associated with EY from January 2015 to August 2017 as a Manager. In September 2011, Balachandran joined Infosys as Senior Associate Lead – HR.
Balachandran was once also a part of Dell International Services. From May 2011 to September 2011, she worked at the company as an HR Generalist. Her other past affiliations include The Coca-Cola Company and Varunapriya Logistics.
