Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is now offering up to ₹40,000 referral bonus as part of its Bring Your Buddy (BYB) programme.
The scheme has been relaunched with increased bonus offerings in an effort to help TCS strengthen its workforce to meet the increasing demand for digital-first skills.
The new scheme links the referral bonus to how quickly the referred candidate joins the company after they receive an offer letter. As such, the faster a candidate joins, the higher the bonus.
If a candidate joins within 30 days, the referring person can earn ₹40,000. This decreases to ₹30,000 if the candidate joins between 31 and 45 days after the offer. The bonus will be ₹20,000 for 46-60 days and ₹15,000 for 61-90 days.
This incentive is applicable for mid-level grades C1 to C5 roles, which include professionals with 4 to 15 years of experience. The move highlights TCS’s focus on its mid-management roles, along with the mid-level transformation programme aimed at reskilling and preparing associates for new-age technology demands.
As per The Times of India, TCS called this initiative more than a hiring mechanism, positioning it as a way for employees to “shape tomorrow” by referring professionals aligned with TCS’s culture and long-term transformation agenda in a mail dated February 19, 2026.
“We have stepped into a bold new future; one that calls for fresh perspectives, new ideas, and accurate expertise,” the mail added. Through this initiative, the company focused on combining its existing values with a fresh wave of talent and skills.
