A software engineer was reportedly found dead at Tata Consultancy Services’ Pune office. He was 24 years old.
The incident was reported on Tuesday morning when the body was discovered in the washroom. According to the investigating officials, the preliminary findings indicate a suicide, which may have been caused due to financial stress from betting practices.
However, the investigation is still in process. The officials stated that the autopsy is being conducted and that electronic communications are also being investigated.
The deceased has been identified as Sujal Vinod Oswal, a resident of the Wanawadi area of Pune. The Pimpri Chinchwad police have taken up the investigation. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2), Vishal Gaikwad, said that the body was found at around 12:30 PM during a routine security check within the office premises, People Matters reported.
The officials said that the family of the deceased are being informed. “No signs of foul play have been found so far, but the investigation is ongoing,” a police officer at the Hinjewadi police station told The Indian Express.
