Tata Motors has promoted Narayan Gurav to General Manager and Head Human Resources (HR).
In his new role, Gurav will head HR for Tata Motors Body Solutions. He will also lead HR and ER functions for two bus manufacturing plants in Dharwad and Lucknow, engineering (R&D), sales and marketing functions.
“I’m happy to share that I have been promoted and am starting a new position as General Manager and Head Human Resources at Tata Motors Body Solutions,” Gurav shared on LinkedIn.
Gurav has been associated with Tata Motors for over 9 years. He joined the company in April 2016 as Senior Manager – Business HR for Purchase and Supplier Quality. In April 2017, Gurav was promoted to Deputy General Manager – Business HR for Manufacturing Operations.
Later, in February 2019, Gurav was given the position of Deputy General Manager – Human Resources for R&D. This was followed by his ascension to Deputy General Manager – HR for Tata Motors Global Services. Gurav had held the latter role until his recent promotion.
From August 2011 to March 2016, Gurav served as HR Business Partner – Sales & Marketing (MTBD) for Mahindra and Mahindra [Automotive and Farm Equipment Business]. He was also associated with Kirloskar Oil and Engines from April 2007 to July 2011 as Senior Officer – HR. In the past, Gurav has also worked for Indo Count Industries, Tozai Exports, and Hind Group of Companies.
