Food and delivery giant, Swiggy, shared that it added around 2,000 employees to its workforce in fiscal year 2024-2025 (FY25).
Swiggy recently shared its annual report, detailing the numbers from FY25. The company revealed that it had a total of 7,431 employees on March 31, 2025.
The rapid growth of Swiggy’s workforce can likely be attributed to the expansion of Instamart, Swiggy’s e-commerce venture. Within FY25, Instamart became available in 100 new cities and gained much popularity.
“Instamart continued its rapid expansion in FY 2024-25, reflecting strong consumer adoption and growing relevance across categories, geographies, and shopping missions. We expanded our footprint to 124 cities, increasing coverage nearly five-fold year-on-year. The network grew to 1,021 stores by year-end, including 498 new dark stores added during the year, of which 44 were larger-format megapods designed to support broader assortment and higher average order values,” Swiggy stated in its annual report.
