Souvik Sarkar has been appointed Head of Human Resources at Devyani International Limited, India’s leading franchisee for KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee, and homegrown brand Vaango. Prior to this, he was VP and Head – HR, Training and Performance Management at Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd. (Domino’s India), where he led HR strategy and organizational development for a workforce of more than 6,500 employees.
With over 15 years of experience across the Food & Beverages, Banking, and Telecommunications sectors, Souvik brings deep expertise in HR business partnering, shared services, process transformation, talent acquisition, as well as HR technology and analytics. He also has the ability to independently design and drive the people agenda for organizations, while effectively partnering with leadership across functions such as Sales, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Experience.
Souvik has held strategic HR leadership roles at Airtel, where he managed HR technology, analytics, shared services, and regional business HR. He also worked at Rupeek in a senior HR role and spent five years with Citi, supporting multiple verticals across geographies. He started his career in June 2008 as a management trainee with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company in Indore. Within a year, he was promoted to Manager – Talent Acquisition.
Academically, Souvik is an alumnus of the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and holds a mechanical engineering degree from Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
