Culver Max Entertainment, part of Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI), is reshuffling its senior management and is planning to lay off over 100 employees, as per the Economic Times.

The moves are part of the company’s plans to restructure its operations to recalibrate its business strategy as market conditions become tougher. The company owns and operates 28 TV channels, including Sony Entertainment Television (SET) and Sony Max, as well as a streaming platform called SonyLIV.

As per the ET source, the company will likely outsource its post-production work, which will affect many jobs. The remaining job losses are expected to come from marketing, advertising, sales and Broadcast Operations & Network Engineering (BONE), which manages backend operations.

These changes are part of the first steps of Gaurav Banerjee as SPNI’s new CEO, who took up the role in August 2024. The sources have stated that the company will likely reveal a new structure by the end of this month, having started its restructuring process earlier in the year.
