SBI Mutual Fund has appointed Shashank Misra as Head L&D, HR Tech & Analytics.

In his new role, Misra will be driving the transformation of HR into a data-led, AI-enabled, business-impact function. He will oversee people strategy, L&D, HR technology, analytics, automation, agentic AI, and employee Experience, with a focus on building organisation-wide capabilities along with scalable, intelligent systems that enable performance, leadership readiness, and future capability.
Misra will lead enterprise capability and organisation development initiatives, shift HR from transactions to intelligence by embedding automation and AI-led insights into HR, L&D, and leadership decision-making. He will also drive adoption of HR tech platforms with a strong emphasis on usability, intelligent workflows, and measurable outcomes.
Prior to joining SBI Mutual Fund, Misra had been with Suryoday Small Finance Bank from December 2024 to December 2025 as Lead Talent Development. He was also a part of WeVerse Digital from December 2023 to December 2024 as Co-founder and CEO. From July 2022 to December 2023, Misra was associated with Torus Digital as Lead – People & Culture.
Misra has a long history with reliancesmartmoney.com. He first joined the company in December 2012 as Regional HRBP – Maharashtra & Gujarat, and held the role of Assistant Manager Human Resources from August 2014 to February 2015. In April 2015, Misra was appointed as Manager Corporate Human Resources & Lead Employee Engagement at the company.
In April 2017, Misra was given the role of Senior Manager Corporate Human Resources & Head HRBP – ISG. He ascended to the role of Lead HRBP & Talent Development (AVP) in May 2018 and held it until March 2019. Misra was also Lead HRBP & Talent Development (VP) for reliancesmartmoney.com from April 2020 to July 2022.
