SBI (State Bank of India) Cards has appointed Avinash Agrawal as Chief People Officer, effective September 19, 2025.
As per an exchange filing, Agrawal’s appointment was made on the recommendation of the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee. Agrawal has been a part of SBI for over 30 years, having worked in a variety of roles and locations.
In May 1995, Agrawal joined SBI as a Branch Manager/Branch Operations. He held the role for over 16 years, handling the operations and other aspects of the branches he worked at.
Agrawal was promoted to the position of Country Coordinator Australia in June 2011, working at IT-Foreign Offices, GITC until October 2012. In November 2012, he was appointed as Assistant General Manager (AGM), Procurement and retained that position until October 2016 at IT-Partner Relationships, GITC Belapur.
From October 2016 to June 2018, Agrawal worked as AGM YONO & Programme Manager. He then switched to AGM & Faculty in June 2018 at SBI Staff College, Hyderabad. In July 2022, Agrawal switched to AGM (Digital & e-Commerce) and retained the position until July 2024.
Agrawal went on to become Deputy General Manager, Business Solutions, in June 2024. He held this position until his latest promotion within SBI.
