The RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group has named Dilip Pattanayak as President – Group HR. Sharing the news on LinkedIn, he wrote: “Excited to join the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group as President – Group HR. Looking forward to contributing to the Group’s inspiring journey, strengthening the people-agenda, and building on its culture of excellence.” In his new role at the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, he will lead the Group’s people strategy, drive HR transformation, and strengthen its culture across its diversified businesses.
Dilip brings nearly 30 years of HR leadership experience across renowned organizations. He served as President & Group CHRO at JSW Steel for five years and, prior to that, was Senior Executive Vice President & Head of HR (Manufacturing) at Reliance Industries. His career also includes leadership roles at Vedanta Group, Hindustan Zinc, and Larsen & Toubro, where he spearheaded large-scale people strategies and transformation initiatives.
His expertise spans organization design, building HR frameworks for start-ups, manpower planning and resourcing (including expatriates), performance and compensation management, leadership development, and managing change during mergers and acquisitions.
Academically, Dilip is a graduate of Utkal University and has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and London Business School, gaining a global perspective on leadership and human capital strategy.
