Progress Software has appointed Girija Kolagada as Vice President, APAC HR Business Partnering and India Country Leader.
With over 20 years of experience as atransformational technology executive, Kolagada is known for driving SaaS and AI-powered transformations. In her new role, she will be leading Progress Software’s operations in India and regional HR strategies, helping strengthen AI innovation.
Before her latest appointment, Kolagada was affiliated with Progress Chef for over 4 years. She joined the company in August 2021 as Senior Director, Engineering. This was followed by her promotion to VP of Engineering in April 2023, and she held the role until February 2026.
For over 9 years, Kolagada was with Oracle, having started at the company in January 2012 as Senior Development Manager, Network Application Platform. In December 2014, she took up the role of Director, Cloud Infrastructure and Platforms. From April 2005 to November 2011, Kolagada was a part of Mascon Global as Senior Technical Manager.
Kolagada started her career as a Scientist for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), having joined the research institute in September 1997. While there, she led mission-critical satellite operations and real-time software development for India’s space missions—an early foundation in precision, resilience, and mission-driven execution.
