Outlook Publishing (India) has appointed Sonika Shukla as Head of Human Resources (HR).

Shukla is a seasoned HR professional who has worked with flagship media industry brands (digital, print, and broadcast) for many years. Her expertise includes talent acquisition, business partnering, leadership development, performance management, employee relations and talent management.
Known for being level-headed, empathetic, mature, resourceful, and assertive, Shukla is a recognised and respected member of the HR community. She was recently given the Global Women Leader Award at The Global Excellence Awards 2025 for her strength, sympathy, empathy, and unwavering resilience.
Prior to joining Outlook Publishing, Shukla was a part of ThePrint. From April 2022 to May 2025, she worked as Head of Human Resources at the company. In the past, she was also associated with B.A.G. Films & Media as Assistant Manager – HR from 2003 to 2006.
For over 13 years, Shukla was affiliated with The Indian Express. She started at the company in August 2007 as Senior Manager – HR, a role she held until June 2013. In September 2014, Shukla was appointed as General Manager – HR at The Indian Express.
