Orient Electric has appointed Upasana Ratra as Head of Talent Acquisition.

In her new role, Ratra will leverage cutting-edge technology to transform and future-proof the talent acquisition function. She will also be building a world-class talent acquisition engine driven by speed, strategy, and stakeholder experience. Ratra will also drive impactful diversity and inclusion initiatives and ensure a strong employer brand that attracts top talent.
Prior to Orient Electric, Ratra had been a part of Hero MotoCorp for over 10 years. She joined the company in August 2015 as Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition. In August 2019, Ratra became Talent Acquisition Lead, which was followed by her elevation to Head Talent Acquisition and Diversity and Inclusion in October 2022.
“After a transformative 10-year journey with Hero MotoCorp, witnessing its evolution & embracing its challenges, it’s time to shift gears for me. I have decided to take the next step in my professional journey,” Ratra shared on LinkedIn. “Looking back, it has been an incredible decade filled with learning, growth and unforgettable experiences. I am immensely grateful to the inspiring leaders who guided me and the amazing team had the privilege to work with – together we strived to build something meaningful & lasting.”
From June 2014 to August 2015, Ratra was associated with Executive Access India as a Consultant. She also worked with TRANSEARCH India for over five years, first as Senior Research Associate (August 2008 to May 2010). In June 2010, Ratra became a Delivery Leader and then became Senior Delivery Leader in October 2011. Additionally, Ratra has worked for Catalyst Services and Datawise Consultants.
